gem was woken up by her alarm clock,jumping out of bed she head for the shower and the got dressed.
walkin to her desk and opening her laptop she sighed when she saw the date.
it was her birthday,she hoped non of her team mates had found out as she hated being fusse over.
looking out of her window she saw the stars twinkleing and smiled.
picking up her jacket and bag she headed out of her room towards the command center.
when she arrived she looked around to see if any one she knew was there sure enough there was she walked up to them and said.

"hi buddy you ok today"

"Happy Birthday Gem." Jack said with a smile. "I got an appointment for us down in the mess hall in about an hour, and after that I have a suprise for you."

[Colonel Holden]

gem laughed.

"ok,but a suprise,you know i hate suprises"

[Colonel O'Neill]

"Oh Lighten up Gem. Its nothing too extravagant." Jack said as he streched his hand out for Gem to pass by him to the mess hall. Following her, Jack said "I know you dont care for suprises, but sometimes they make a day worth while."

saluting him she said.
"hi sir,could you say that in english plz"

[Colonel O'Neill]

"I believe he said, "Hello, Happy birthday Gem, suprised that I am speaking in spanish." or something relativley close. My spanish is a bit rusty." Jack said as he leaned over to Gem to answer her question.
